The Art of Fashion: the creative collision of art and fashion at That Gallery

Throughout March, explore the worlds of fashion and art, with an exhibit curated to show how these two worlds collide.   Opening night reception, March 1 from 4:00-7:00 with Garyk Lee in attendance; open house artist meet and greet Saturday, March 16 from 1:00-3:00 with Zabel Artiste-Pientre; and post fashion show after party with Scooter LaForge, Tuesday March 19 from 9:00-11:00pm.

• Our group show features the creative genius of Scooter LaForge, international design aficionado, whose talents touch not only clothing, but traditional mediums.   In conjunction with Palm Springs Life Magazine, That Gallery will exhibit his one of a kind garments, a juxtaposition of humor, blended with "serious" design.  View his painterly pieces, whimsical and unique wearable art.
• Also exhibiting, Zabel Artiste Pientre, an emerging force in Canada and beyond, whose fashion centric collages are a mix of abstract motion, hand painted only with a spatula, with strokes that resemble fashion sketches. 
• Garyk Lees designs have a distinct Mid-Century Mod aesthtic, with clean detailed expression and nods to fashion and architecture, in true Palm Springs style. 
• Hank Hudson, a former fashion magazine editor and creative director, brings his uniquely trained eye to digital masterpieces in his Dot Series.  With detail not visible to the naked eye, and that come to life with the assistance of a cell phone camera.  
• Ziba the Artist will display her resin works, with familiar cartoon characters outfitted and accessorized with indulgent high fashion finds.
